The Flute-Playing Gnome by the Forest Stream: A Coloring Page Idyll

The gnome with his red pointed hat sits on a stone right by the stream, flute to his lips, eyes perhaps closed in deep concentration. Around him the water babbles, and grasses, flowers, and maybe a curious little mushroom grow along the bank. Here your child can color not just the gnome himself, but also bring the stream, the stones, and the little forest landscape around him to life.

Tip: Try different shades of blue for the stream

Several shades of blue and turquoise work particularly well for the water, making the stream look much more lively and letting you really see where the current flows. The pointed hat can of course get a classic red, while the gnome's beard shines in white or a warm gray. A rich wood brown works beautifully for the flute, harmonizing nicely with the green grass and colorful flowers on the bank.

Maybe you and your child can come up with a little story together: who is the gnome playing his melody for? For the fish in the stream, for the birds in the forest, or just for himself? You can download the coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper – then nothing stands in the way of a cozy coloring afternoon together.
