Grandma Tells a Story: A New Year's Tale to Color
Your child can discover the loving grandmother here, bringing her story to life with sweeping gestures. All around, lovely details are waiting, like red lanterns, perhaps a little teacup, or a cozy wall tapestry with traditional patterns. Plenty of space, then, for little artists' hands to experiment with colors and add their own ideas.
Coloring tip: Red and gold for the New Year celebration
Red and gold simply can't be missing from Chinese New Year, since they stand for luck and prosperity. Let your child color the lanterns in a vibrant red and add golden accents, it looks wonderfully festive. You can color the grandmother herself in warm, cozy tones, perhaps a soft purple or a friendly blue for her robe, just however your child likes it best.
And while the crayons glide over the paper, maybe you can tell a little story of your own, just like the grandmother in the picture is doing. You can download the coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, then the shared coloring and storytelling time can begin.
