A fluffy griffin chick waits in its nest for bright colors
Your child can discover the fluffy feathers on its head and wings, color in the soft fur on the lion's body, and of course design the snug nest with all its branches and twigs. The curious look on the little griffin's face also invites kids to take a close look with crayons or wax pencils and lovingly color in every detail.
Tip for little artists: feathers and fur in contrasting colors
A nice trick when coloring is to give the feathered areas and the fur different shades. The wings could shine in warm golden-brown, while the lion's body is kept in soft beige or sandy yellow. Various shades of brown work well for the nest, and if you like, you can scatter a few green leaves or blue sky dots around it – after all, a griffin's nest like this sits high above the clouds.
Maybe you and your child can come up with a little story to go along with it: Is the griffin chick waiting for its parents, who are out searching for food? Or is it secretly practicing flying before it's even allowed out of the nest? Little stories like these make coloring even more lively. You can download this coloring page quickly and for free and print it out at home on A4 paper – then the adventure with crayons can begin.
