Hibernating Bear in a Cave Coloring Page

Dear parents, do you know that feeling when it's cold and grey outside and all you want to do is snuggle up under a thick blanket? That's exactly what our bear is doing right now in his cozy cave. He's curled up, eyes closed, sleeping peacefully through the winter until spring wakes him up again.

Not a sound: The bear is hibernating

This picture radiates a special kind of calm and is perfect for cozy afternoons indoors. Your child can color in the bear's thick fur, design the rocky cave with its shadows and corners, and maybe even spot little details like snowflakes outside the cave entrance. There's a lot to discover, even though the bear himself is lying completely still.

Tip: Warm colors against the winter cold

Rich shades of brown work well for the bear's fur, from light caramel to dark chocolate brown, depending on how fluffy you'd like your bear to look. The cave itself can be colored in shades of grey or muted blue, which creates a lovely contrast and makes the bear look really cozy. If you like, you can add a few white snow patches around the cave entrance, so everyone knows right away that it's winter outside.

Maybe you can come up with a little story together: What do you think the bear is dreaming about? Honey, berries, or the first warm ray of sunshine in spring? You can download this coloring page completely free and print it out at home on a regular sheet of paper. Nothing stands in the way of a quiet, cozy coloring afternoon.
