Buzz, buzz, buzz: The honey bee is waiting for some colorful paint
In the picture you'll see a honey bee with its typical stripes, delicate wings, and little antennae that always curiously point up into the air. Sometimes it sits on a flower, sometimes it simply flies across the page. While coloring, your child can take a really close look at how a bee is actually built, and become a bit of a little insect expert along the way.
Coloring tip: Stripes with personality
Traditionally, the honey bee is striped in black and yellow, but who says bees have to follow the rules? Maybe your version will turn into a bee with orange or even pink stripes, whatever your child feels like. The wings can look soft and see-through if you just lightly brush over them with a light blue or gray. If there's a flower in the picture too, red, yellow, or purple work great, then the bee has something to snack on right away.
