The Playful Otter in the River
Your child can discover plenty here to fill with color. The otter's glossy fur, the little splashes around him, maybe a few stones on the riverbank or plants reaching up out of the water. Every line invites a closer look and a chance to create a whole little river world of your own.
Coloring tip: water comes alive through shading
Warm brown tones work well for the otter's fur, maybe with a few lighter patches on his belly to make him look extra fluffy. For the water, it's worth using more than just one blue. Feel free to mix different shades of blue and green, and leave a bit of white here and there, it looks like glints of light and really brings movement into the picture. The stones on the bank can be gray, but also mossy green, whatever feels right.
If you like, you can make up a little story while coloring: where is the otter swimming off to? Is he looking for a fish for lunch, or just playing with the waves? You can download this coloring page for free and print it out at home, ideally on regular A4 paper. All you need then are some crayons, a quiet little moment, and the otter can be brought to life in color.
