Grooming Time for the Favorite Horse
You'll see a patient horse standing still while its mane and coat are lovingly brushed. There's the thick mane, the round belly, the hooves, and of course the grooming brush itself to color in. In the background, a few bits of straw or a piece of fence can also conjure up real stable atmosphere.
Coloring idea: What color should the coat be?
Here kids are free to decide what color the horse gets. A classic brown with a dark mane looks natural, but a grey-white dapple or a striking chestnut red is also lots of fun. The grooming brush can stand out in a bold color like blue or yellow so it doesn't get lost in the picture.
If you like, you can tell a little story while coloring: maybe the horse is being made pretty for a tournament, or it's simply enjoying the care after a long day in the pasture. You can download this coloring page completely free and print it out comfortably at home, best in A4 format, so there's enough room for all the details. Set out a few crayons, and the shared coloring and grooming time can begin.
