Hardworking Horse in the Field: The Plow Coloring Page
Your child can discover and color in several things here: the horse's mane and tail, the harness with its straps, the wooden plow with its wheels, and of course the earth that's just being freshly plowed. Clouds, sun, or a few birds in the sky can also be added if the imagination gets going.
Tip: Earthy colors and a bit of imagination
Warm brown and caramel tones work well for the horse's coat, while the mane and tail can be a bit darker, or even black. The freshly plowed earth can be shaded in different shades of brown, which ends up looking wonderfully lively. The sky is classically light blue, but could also shimmer in morning pink-orange, as if the work in the field is just beginning.
If you like, tell your child a little story along the way: about a horse named Max who trots out to the field every morning and is proud when the furrows turn out nice and straight. Little stories like this make coloring even more vivid. You can download the coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on a regular sheet of paper. Then you're ready to go, whether with colored pencils, crayons, or markers.
