A swimming kangaroo? This coloring page surprise delights little artists
On the coloring page you'll see the kangaroo with arms spread wide right in the middle of the water, while little waves ripple around it. On the riverbank, a few plants or stones might be waiting to be brought to life with color. Your child can really dive in here and let loose, with no rules about how a kangaroo is supposed to look.
Coloring idea: What color does an adventurous kangaroo have?
Does the fur really have to be brown? Of course not. Maybe this kangaroo is a real water lover and that's why it has a stylish blue-gray that's reminiscent of a dolphin. The river itself invites all sorts of shades of blue, from light turquoise to deep navy, depending on how deep the water should look in that spot. Little waves can be given white or silver highlights, which really brings movement into the picture.
If you like, you can invent a little story to go along with it: Why is the kangaroo swimming, anyway? Is it fleeing the heat, practicing for a swimming race, or just in the mood to cool off? These questions make coloring even more exciting. You can download the picture for free and print it out easily at home on A4 paper, so nothing stands in the way of a cozy afternoon of coloring and storytelling together.
