A sculptor and his proud stone lion

Coloring tip: bringing stone to life
Light gray tones or a warm sandy beige work well for the statue, just as if it had been carved from real marble or sandstone. If you like, you can suggest shading with a darker gray, which instantly makes it look much more three-dimensional. The lion's mane can be wonderfully designed with various shades of brown, from honey yellow to chestnut brown, creating a lively shaggy coat right in the middle of the stone.
The sculptor himself can be as colorful and individual as you like, perhaps with an apron in blue or green and bold colors for his clothing.
