So glad you stopped by! Kids love water, stones, and the feeling of building something big all by themselves, and that's exactly what this coloring page shows. Little Builders on the Riverbank: The Dam Coloring Page
There's plenty to discover: rippling water pooling up behind the dam, little fish swimming in the shallow area, pebbles and stones of all shapes, and of course the children themselves, pushing, carrying, and stacking with all their might. Each character can get its own favorite color, and the nature around the river leaves lots of room for imagination too.
Coloring Idea: From Light Blue to Mossy Green
Several shades of blue work especially well for the water: light turquoise where it's shallow, and a deeper blue in the pooled area behind the dam. The stones can be shaded in gray, brown, and a soft beige to give them a three-dimensional look, and the riverbank grass can sprout in different shades of green. For the children's clothes, bright, cheerful colors are perfect, after all, there's so much energy and teamwork going on here.
If you like, tell a little story while coloring: maybe the kids are building the dam to create a calm little pond for the fish, or just because playing by the river is so much fun. You can download this coloring page completely free and easily print it at home on standard letter size paper. All you need then are crayons or watercolors, a cozy spot, and the creative river-building fun can begin.
