A Big Day: The Princess at Her Coronation Ceremony
The picture shows the princess in an elegant gown, with a flowing cape and, of course, the sparkling crown that's about to be placed on her head. All around her, little details like a scepter, a soft cushioned throne, or festive curtains can be discovered. So there's plenty to explore even before the crayon comes into play, and that's exactly what makes this picture so exciting to color.
Tip: Gold, Glitter, and Royal Shades
For a true coronation feel, gold and yellow tones work beautifully for the crown, while the gown looks especially elegant in pink, purple, or a deep blue. If you like, you can add little gold or silver highlights with a metallic pen to make the crown really sparkle. Your child can also come up with a short story to go along with it, for example why this particular princess is being crowned and who came to the celebration.
You can download this coloring page for free and easily print it at home on standard letter or A4 paper. That way, nothing stands in the way of a little coronation celebration with crayons, wax crayons, or felt-tip pens, and the royal artwork can then earn a place of honor on the fridge door.
