Flying Kites Under the Colorful Rainbow

Your child can discover and color quite a few things here: the fluttering kites with their long tails, the kids running across a meadow, a few clouds, and of course the rainbow with its many colorful stripes. So there's plenty of room for imagination, whether coloring it realistically or completely freely, just as the mood takes them.

Tip: The Rainbow as a Color Guide

A lovely way to start is to name the rainbow colors together with your child, one by one, before coloring begins. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple not only create a radiant picture but also bring a bit of order to all the colorful fun. The kites themselves, on the other hand, are welcome to surprise: one kite in turquoise with pink dots, another striped like an umbrella. Cheerful summer colors work well for the kids in the picture, rich green for the meadow, and a soft blue for the sky that really makes the rainbow stand out.

Anyone who likes can come up with a little story while coloring, for example where the kites might be flying to, or what's waiting at the end of the rainbow. You can download this coloring page for free and print it out comfortably at home, ideally on a regular A4 sheet, so there's room for all the colored pencils or crayons you have on hand.
