Little Artists, Big Dragons: Folding Paper Dragons to Color
Your child can discover several little stories here: the clever hands busy folding, the colorful dragons that already look almost finished, and the happy faces of the little crafters. Every character, every piece of paper, and every detail in the background is just waiting to be brought to life with color.
Coloring Tip: The Dragon in the Colors of Luck
Traditionally, dragons for the New Year festival are often designed in red and gold, since these colors stand for luck and prosperity in Chinese culture. Maybe your child would like to try exactly these festive shades, or invent their very own fantasy dragon in turquoise, purple, or rainbow colors. The children's clothing in the picture can also be freely designed, from a patterned sweater to colorful socks.
If you like, you can even get in the mood by making up a little story about where the finished dragon should fly off to in the end. Maybe over the rooftops of the city or all the way up to the clouds. You can easily download the coloring page for free and print it at home on a regular A4 sheet. That way, nothing stands in the way of a cozy afternoon with crayons, wax crayons, or felt-tip pens, whether indoors on a rainy day or outside on the terrace.
