The adventurous lion and his termite mound view

There's plenty to discover and color in this picture: the lion's bold mane, the paws he's using to hold on to the mound, and of course the termite mound itself with all its little cracks and bumps. In the background, with a bit of imagination, your kids can even hint at the wide savanna beyond.

Coloring idea: from sandy to royal

Warm brown tones work great for the mane, from light honey to a rich chestnut brown, and feel free to add a few orange streaks for extra liveliness. The termite mound can look earthy and sandy, perhaps in ochre or a dusty beige, with small darker patches here and there for texture. If you like, you can even give the lion a cheeky grin, after all, he did make it all the way to the top.

You can download this coloring page for free and print it at home on a regular A4 sheet. Grab your crayons or colored pencils, get cozy together, and let your lion shine in your favorite colors. Whether you stick to the classic look or give him a brand-new coat color, there are no limits to your creativity on this termite mound adventure.
