The king relaxes: A lion lying on a rock
This coloring page shows the lion's calm side, and that's exactly what makes it so special. Your child can tackle the mighty mane, the powerful paws, and of course the rock where the king of the animals has made himself comfortable. The background also leaves room for your child's own ideas, maybe a sunset, maybe a few clouds in the sky.
Coloring idea: From soft beige to rich golden brown
The mane is, of course, the highlight of any lion. Here you can mix different shades of brown, a bit of orange, and even a hint of yellow to make it look truly majestic. The body can stay lighter, while the rock fits the calm overall picture in gray or beige tones. If you like, tell your child a little story to go along with it: maybe the lion is dreaming of the savanna, or simply enjoying the warm afternoon sun on his fur.
The best part: you can download this coloring page completely free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper. Whether for a rainy afternoon, as an activity in between, or simply because lions are just great, this relaxed fellow on his rock is always a great choice for little artists.
