Tiptoeing Through the Forest: The Ranger Watches the Deer
There's plenty to discover and color in this picture. There's the ranger with his typical hat, sturdy jacket, and of course the binoculars held up to his eyes. Next to him are the deer with their big ears and slender legs, surrounded by trees, grasses, and maybe a few mushrooms on the ground. Plenty of room here for little and big artists to dive in with their crayons.
Coloring Idea: A Forest Full of Colors
Warm shades of brown work well for the deer, with light spots on the fur like you often see on young fawns. The ranger can happily be dressed in rich green or brown, matching his surroundings. For the forest itself, you can mix different shades of green, from bright spring green to deep pine green, and give the sky behind it a soft blue or a warm evening orange, depending on what time of day you feel like painting.
Maybe you can think together about what the ranger might be seeing through his binoculars, or what the deer's names could be. That makes coloring even more exciting.
