A Mermaid and Her Sparkling School of Fish
There's so much to discover here for your child. The mermaid's hair can flow wildly in the water, the scales on her tail practically beg to shimmer, and every single fish in the school can get its own little personality. That way, a simple picture turns into a colorful underwater story all on its own.
Tip: Rainbow-colored scales
Here's a pretty trick for this picture: instead of coloring the tail fin a single color, you can color each row of scales a different shade, creating a little rainbow effect right in the middle of the sea. The school of fish can get wonderfully mixed up too, orange, turquoise, and yellow side by side look especially lively and are reminiscent of real coral reefs. If you like, you can invent a little story to go along with it, for example that the mermaid is showing the fish the way to a sunken treasure chest. You can download the coloring page for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper, and then the dive into the colorful underwater world can begin.
