Reaching New Heights: The Coloring Page with the Brave Mountain Climber
You'll see the climbing mountaineer with rope and gear, rugged rocky outcrops, maybe a few bold birds in the sky, and of course the impressive rock face itself. There are plenty of nooks and crannies to color in, and your child can decide just how wild and colorful the mountain world should become.
Tip: Playing with Light and Shadow
A nice trick for rock motifs is to play with different shades of gray or brown to make the wall look more three-dimensional. Light patches where the sun hits, darker patches in the hollows, and suddenly the rock gets real depth. The climbing gear, on the other hand, can be as bright and bold as you like, a vivid red rope or a neon green backpack really stand out and help the climber pop against the rock.
If you like, you can even make up a little story while coloring, maybe the climber is just about to reach the summit and discover something truly special up there. You can download this coloring page for free and print it out at home on standard letter-size paper, then the climbing adventure can begin on paper.
