The pan flute player who makes the mountains sing

Your child can discover and color in quite a few things here: the many little tubes of the pan flute, the fluffy clouds, the rugged rocks, and maybe even a goat listening in curiously. Every line tells a bit of the calm and freedom you feel in the mountains when music drifts through the air.

Coloring idea: What does a color sound like?

Why not ask your child which color sounds like music to them? Some notes of the pan flute are high and light, almost like a bright sky blue or soft yellow. Others are deep and warm, like dark brown or rich green. That way, coloring turns into a little listening-and-feeling game along the way, one where there's no right or wrong.

Gray and purple tones work wonderfully for the mountains in the background, while the meadows at the foot of the peak can shine in lush green. The pan flute itself can stay in warm wood brown or sparkle with golden accents, whatever feels right. Once the crayons are ready, you can download the picture for free and print it out at home on a regular A4 sheet. Then the little mountain concert session can begin, with music in mind and color in hand.
