A playful parrot on its vine
What makes this picture special is the mix of movement and calm: the parrot sits there relaxed, yet you can almost feel the vine gently swaying. Your child can fill the feathers with lots of little patterns, carefully trace around the claws, and decorate the vine with leaves and tendrils. That way, a single bird quickly turns into a whole little jungle scene.
Coloring tip: the brighter parrot wins
Parrots in the rainforest often wear the wildest color combinations, so go ahead and try red, turquoise, yellow, and green together, ideally all at once. Several shades of green work well for the vine so it looks lively instead of flat, and an earthy brown for the sturdy parts gives the picture extra support.
If you like, you can make up a little story while coloring, for example why the parrot is sitting right there and who it might want to visit next. You can download the coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, and the rainforest can move right onto your dining table or craft table.
