Peonies in the Vase: a Coloring Page Like a Little Bouquet of Luck
Your child can discover and color several things here: the tightly folded petals of each individual peony, a few green leaves and stems, as well as the vase itself, which is wonderfully suited for patterns and decorations. A flower picture like this is just right for gaining first experiences with curves and details, with no pressure at all, simply for trying out and enjoying.
Coloring Idea: From Pink to Red, a Celebration of Colors
Peonies are welcome to shine in all imaginable shades of pink and red, because these are exactly the colors that stand for luck and a good future during the New Year celebrations. Feel free to mix a soft pink with a rich magenta or add bold red dabs, the blossoms forgive almost any color choice. You can design the vase in gold or a warm yellow, which is reminiscent of festive decorations and adds extra sparkle to the picture.
Maybe you can tell your child that during Chinese New Year people give each other blooming plants so the new year will be especially beautiful. You can download this coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home, best on a regular A4 sheet. Then all you need are some pens, a cozy spot at the table, and the little bouquet can shine in your favorite colors.
