Coloring idea: A rainbow on scales
The snake looks best when the colors blend into each other like a real rainbow. For example, start at the head with red, move through orange and yellow to green and blue, and finish at the tail in a rich violet. For the jungle, different shades of green work great to make the leaves and vines look wonderfully lively, while a few sun rays in warm yellow can shine through the canopy.
