A sleepy rhino takes a nap
What's lovely about this motif is the relaxed mood it spreads. Your child can color in the rhino's thick, wrinkly skin, highlight its sturdy horn, and get creative with the leaves of the tree that hang over the sleeping animal like a snug roof. The ground, with a few blades of grass and some stones, also invites plenty of creative coloring.
Coloring idea: from warm grays to a colorful dream
Rhinos are usually shown in gray or brown tones, but who says the animal can't dream of colorful flowers during its midday rest? Let your child start with a strong gray for the skin, then get really imaginative with the tree and surroundings, using rich green, warm brown, or even a few sparkling splashes of color for flowers in the background.
A little story makes coloring even more exciting: maybe the rhino is dreaming of a trip to the river or of its friends out on the savanna. Let your child's imagination run wild and simply ask what might be going through the rhino's mind right now. You can download this cozy coloring page for free and print it out comfortably at home on A4 paper. That way, nothing stands in the way of a relaxed coloring afternoon, whether at the kitchen table, on the rug, or even outside in the garden if the weather cooperates.
