Thick Skin, Little Friend: The Rhino with a Bird on Its Back
Your child can really dig into the rough, wrinkled skin of the rhino and discover just how many little folds and creases such a giant actually has. The bird on top, on the other hand, offers a lovely contrast: small, light, and with plenty of room for delicate touches of color. The distinctive horn and sturdy legs also invite a closer look.
Tip: Show contrast with color
Color the rhino in a rich gray or a warm grayish-brown, and feel free to add some darker shading to the skin folds. That will instantly make the skin look much more alive. The bird, on the other hand, can be really colorful, whether in bright red, deep blue, or cheerful yellow, that creates a wonderful contrast to the calm giant and makes the picture really pop.
