Stone-Hard Art: The Sculptor Creates an Angel
In the picture, you can see the sculptor in her workshop, surrounded by stone dust and tools, as the figure of the angel slowly takes shape. Your kids can tell the rough contours of the stone apart from the fine details of the angel, and while coloring, imagine what secret might still be hidden inside the stone. That makes this picture not just a coloring activity, but also a little journey of discovery.
Tip: Bring it to life with shades of gray
Various shades of gray and beige work especially well for the stone, while the angel itself can be a bit lighter and softer, perhaps in delicate white or gentle gold for the wings. The workshop in the background can be done in warm brown tones, which brings nice contrasts to the picture. Anyone who wants to can let their imagination run free and color the angel in unusual colors, after all, it's their very own personal work of art.
Simply download this coloring page for free and print it out at home at your leisure on A4 paper. Whether at the kitchen table or cozily on the floor in the kids' room, here they can create to their heart's content. Maybe it will even inspire a little story about what this angel might tell if it were ever finished.
