A Wish in the Night Sky: The Shooting Star Over the Lighthouse
Your child can discover and color in several exciting areas here. There's the tall lighthouse with its windows and stripes, the calm sea with little waves, countless stars decorating the sky, and of course the shooting star itself with its long, glittering tail. Plenty of room for big and small discoveries.
Coloring idea: From day to night with just one color
Here's a lovely tip for this picture: let your child color the night sky in different shades of blue and purple, from light near the horizon to dark at the top edge of the picture. This creates a real gradient, almost like a real night sky. The lighthouse can be striped in bold red and white so it stands out beautifully against the dark sky, and the shooting star can be made to shimmer in gold or silver.
Maybe you can come up with a little story together: who might be standing in the lighthouse right now, looking out at the sea? And what does that person wish for when they see the shooting star? You can download the coloring page for free and print it out easily at home on A4 paper, and the shared coloring and wishing time can begin.
