Bravely Across the River: The Coloring Page with the Soldier on the Rope
There's plenty for your kids to discover here. The soldier with his gear, the taut rope, the rippling water below, and the two riverbanks with trees and stones all leave lots of room for imagination. Some kids like to invent a whole story about why the soldier has to cross this way and what awaits him on the other side.
Tip: Capture the Tension with Color
Try coloring the water in different shades of blue and green to make it really come alive. Small white whitecaps can be hinted at with a light-colored pencil if you want the river to look a bit wild. The uniform can be colored in classic olive or gray, but a bold brown also looks great if you're going for more of a jungle-adventure feel.
For the trees on the riverbank, different shades of green work well, and a few brown lines on the trunk make everything look more natural right away. If you like, you can also add the sun or a few clouds in the sky to round out the scene. You can download this coloring page for free and print it conveniently at home on A4 paper. That way, nothing stands in the way of an afternoon full of colors and little hero stories.
