Sundial in the Garden Coloring Page
So glad you stopped by! Today we have a motif for you with a touch of old-fashioned charm: a sundial standing right in the middle of a garden. Surrounded by flowers and maybe a curious butterfly, it shows what time it is without any batteries or metal hands at all. For kids, this is often a little puzzle, since a clock powered by sunlight isn't something you get to see every day. On the coloring page, your child will discover the sundial's stone pillar, the dial with its numbers, and the shadow-casting pointer known as the gnomon. All around it, grasses, leaves, and a bit of garden path are just waiting to be brought to life with color. This motif is wonderful for quiet afternoons, when something timeless deserves to be colored in.

The Sundial in the Garden: Timekeeping to Color
Coloring Idea: A Garden in the Sunlight
For the sundial itself, warm shades of gray or soft beige work well, just like real stone looks. The numbers and lines on the dial could be highlighted in a bold dark blue or black so they really stand out. All around, things can get really colorful: yellow and orange flowers bring sunny cheer to the garden, while lush green brings the grasses and leaves to life. If you like, you can make up a little story, maybe about a snail that strolls to the sundial every day to check whether it's already time for a nap. You can download the coloring page for free and print it out comfortably at home on A4 paper. All you need then are some crayons, a cozy spot, and the garden can shine in your favorite colors.
