Big Eruption in the Classroom: The Volcano Teacher Coloring Page

What makes this picture so special is the mix of everyday school life and a little adventure. There's the teacher with his finger raised, the class sitting eagerly on their chairs, and right in the middle, the papier-mâché volcano perched on the table. Your kids can color in the blackboard in the background, the faces of the eager classmates, or of course the volcano itself, just waiting to be brought to life in bold colors.

Coloring idea: Lava, smoke, and a bit of chaos

For the volcano, warm tones work great, from rich red through orange to a dramatic yellow at the tip, right where the lava is about to boil over. The smoke above can be kept in gray or a soft purple, which looks lovely and cloud-like. The teacher himself can wear a sweater in a fun color, maybe blue or green, while the classroom walls in a friendly pastel shade round off the scene.

If you like, make up a little story to go along with it: What's about to happen with the model volcano, and how do the classmates look when it suddenly starts hissing? You can download this picture for free and print it out comfortably at home on A4 paper, and the little explorer day in the kids' room can begin.
