A tiny climber doing big things: the turtle conquers its rock

Your child can discover the round shell with its many little sections, the short legs holding on tightly to the rock, and of course the curious face of the turtle, who is just about to reach the top. All around there's still room for grass, a few flowers, or whatever else your child's imagination comes up with.

Coloring idea: the shell as a little mosaic

A nice tip for this picture: each section on the shell can get a different color. That way the turtle turns into a little work of art almost by itself, and your child gets to practice staying inside the lines in a playful way, with no pressure at all. Green and brown are classic, but why not try turquoise, yellow, or even a cheeky purple shell? The rock can be colored gray, beige, or decorated with little green moss patches.

If you like, you can tell a little story while coloring: maybe the turtle is climbing to its favorite sunny spot, or it simply wants to see what's on the other side of the rock. You can download this coloring page for free and print it out at home with ease, for example in the handy A4 format. All you need then are some crayons, a quiet moment, and the little climbing adventure can begin on paper.
