Cozy Rest: The Turtle on Its Lily Pad
The motif is wonderfully calm, which makes it perfect for kids who like to color at a leisurely pace. The turtle's round shell offers plenty of room for patterns and color play, the lily pad invites soft shades of green, and all around it your child can design the pond water however they like. Maybe a curious fish will even swim by at the edge of the picture.
Little Tip: Patterns on the Shell
Warm tones like olive green, brown, or a rich moss green work especially well for the shell, paired with small dots or stripes in a lighter color for a bit of texture. The lily pad can shine in several shades of green, from delicate light green to a deep, rich dark green at the edges. If you like, color the water in gentle blue and turquoise tones and add a few bright highlights with a white pen.
