Today brings an especially gentle appointment at the zoo: a veterinarian examines a baby elephant while curious visitors may already be peeking from behind the fence. This lovely coloring page takes you right into a peaceful moment between people and animals. The veterinarian listens to the little zoo elephant

There is lots to see on this coloring page: the friendly veterinarian in a coat, the baby elephant with big ears and a long trunk, and the zoo surroundings. Perhaps the doctor is wearing a stethoscope, gently checking its little leg, or giving the small patient a reassuring pat. While coloring, the elephant can of course have a little mischief in its eyes too – after all, such a trunk is very handy.

Gentle colors for a strong little patient

Light gray, warm gray, or a soft brown are wonderful choices for the baby elephant. The insides of its ears can be rosy, and its trunk can be shaded a little darker. You can color the veterinarian's coat classic white or give it a cheerful color. Green grass, brown enclosure posts, a blue sky, and perhaps a yellow ray of sunshine turn the zoo scene into a lovely day out.

Why not tell a little story while you color: Does the baby elephant just have a scratch from playing wildly, or is it being examined because it nibbled a few too many juicy leaves? You can download the picture for free and print it at home on A4 paper. Then everything is ready for a wonderfully cozy afternoon of coloring.
