A Volcano to Marvel at and Color
The lovely thing about this design is that it's drawn so wonderfully clearly. Large areas for the mountain, sweeping lines for the lava, a round crater right at the top. Your child can paint here with big, bold strokes without struggling over tiny details, and yet the finished picture still looks like a real adventure.
Tip: Set Fire and Stone in Contrast
For the lava, bold red, orange and a warm yellow work especially well, and feel free to use all three side by side for a real fiery glow. The mountain itself can appear in gray, brown or even a dark purple, which creates a lovely contrast to the fiery crater. If you like, let the sky shine in soft blue or add a few smoke clouds in shades of gray rising from the volcano.
Why not tell your child a little story to go along with it? Maybe the volcano has been sleeping for a hundred years and is just now waking up for the first time. Stories like this make coloring even more exciting. You can download the template for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, and the little volcano adventure can begin right on the living room table.
