Fresh from the Oven: The Baker with His Bread Basket
What's especially lovely about this picture is the variety of shapes and details. Your child can color the round loaves, the long baguettes, and the little rolls in the basket one by one, plus the baker's apron and of course his cheerful face. There's so much to discover and even more to color.
Coloring Idea: Give Each Loaf Its Own Color
A nice approach is to give every loaf of bread its own shade of brown, from light golden-brown to deep toasty brown. That way the basket really comes to life and looks like it just came straight from the bakery. The baker's apron can shine in a bold blue or red, while a soft yellow background brings to mind a sunny morning.
If you like, you can even make up a little story to go with the picture: where is the baker taking his bread? Maybe to a village festival, or simply to the neighbors next door. You can download this coloring page completely free and print it out at home on standard letter size paper. Then the crayon fun can begin!
