A crackling campfire at the foot of the mountain to color in
What makes this picture special is the mix of adventure and coziness. Kids can color in the dancing flames of the fire, design the rocks and peaks in the background, and imagine what it might smell and sound like to really sit there. There might even be a few stones around the fire or a backpack waiting for a little adventure.
Tip: Play with warm and cool colors
Bold orange, red, and a bit of yellow work especially well for the flames, so the fire really comes alive. The mountains in the background, on the other hand, can stay in cooler gray, blue, or an earthy brown, which creates a lovely contrast with the warm glow of the fire. If you like, you can even add a bit of dark blue for the night sky and dot in a few stars.
