A Little Midnight Moment: The Cat on the Roof at Full Moon
The scene is wonderfully calm and invites daydreaming, but it also has plenty of details to keep your child busy. The curved roof tiles, the cat's soft paws, and the glowing moon are just waiting to be filled with color. Tiny stars are also hiding in the background, ready to be discovered.
Tip: Playfully combine day and night
Warm tones like orange, reddish-brown, or soft gray work beautifully for the cat, depending on your child's favorite color of the moment. The sky can be shaded in different shades of blue, from deep midnight blue to a lighter blue around the moon, making it shine extra bright. Red or brown tones suit the roof tiles nicely, creating a lovely contrast with the cool night mood.
For those who'd like to, you can make up a little story to go along with it: maybe the cat is waiting for her friends to arrive for a nighttime rooftop party, or she's simply counting the stars before heading off to sleep. You can download the coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, and the shared coloring fun can begin by candlelight or under a bedside lamp.
