The Busy Gardener and His Vegetable Garden
There's plenty to discover in the picture: the watering can with its gentle stream of water, rows of vegetable plants like tomatoes, lettuce, and carrots, and of course the gardener himself in his practical work clothes. For little hands, this is a wonderful chance to get to know shapes and colors all about gardening while simply coloring away.
Coloring Tip: From the Soil to the Leaves
A nice idea is to start with the soil, feel free to shade it in different shades of brown and beige. Then come the plants, soft green for the leaves, juicy red for ripe tomatoes, and a cheerful orange for carrots. The watering can can be colored shiny blue or rusty red, depending on what story your child dreams up for it.
Maybe while coloring you can tell a little story together: how the gardener gets up every morning to water his plants so they grow big and strong. That makes coloring even more fun. Just download the picture for free and print it out at home at your leisure, for example in handy A4 format. Then it's ready for the table, and the colorful garden work can begin.
