A one-eyed giant in his rocky hideout
All around him, rocks, stalactites, and dark corners are just waiting to be brought to life. Your child can decide whether the cave should look spooky-beautiful or cozy like a real home. The cyclops's fur, his eye, and maybe even a little friend at the cave entrance all leave plenty of room for their own ideas.
Coloring idea: light and shadow in the cave
A great trick for this picture is playing with light and dark colors. The area around the cyclops can be colored in soft grays and browns, while certain rocks or the cyclops's eye can be highlighted more boldly, in yellow, orange, or green. This creates the impression that a torch or a beam of light is shining somewhere into the cave. If you like, let your imagination run wild and invent a little story to go with it: Is the cyclops just waking up, or is he still dreaming about his last adventure out in the forest?
