Deer in the Bamboo Forest Coloring Page
So glad you stopped by. This coloring page shows a deer standing curiously among tall bamboo stalks, almost as if it had wandered slightly off course on its way to a completely different forest. That's what makes this image so charming: it mixes the familiar shape of a deer with a setting you'd normally expect to see in faraway lands.

A quiet deer wanders into the bamboo forest
There's plenty for your kids to discover here. The proud antlers can shine in soft brown tones, or even in a bold blue if they like, while the slender bamboo stalks can be colored in every shade of green, from delicate light green to rich dark green. The forest floor and the little leaves between the stalks also leave plenty of room for their own ideas and experiments with crayons.
Tip: Play with light and shadow
A nice trick when coloring is not to make the bamboo the same shade of green everywhere. If you color the stalks further back a bit paler and the ones in front more vividly, a sense of depth appears in the picture almost by itself. The deer itself can be given warm colors, so it stands out nicely against its cool, green surroundings.
If you like, you can even make up a little story to go with it, for example why the deer happens to be wandering here and what it might discover behind the next bamboo stalk. You can download this coloring page for free and print it out comfortably at home, ideally in A4 format, so there's enough room on the paper for imagination and crayons.
