The Minotaur builds a wall, stone by stone
Your child can discover how the individual wall stones are stacked on top of one another and give them all sorts of different colors. Perhaps the Minotaur is wearing a simple tunic, perhaps finished sections of wall are already standing beside him, or a small pile of stones is waiting to be used. This turns every area into part of a construction-site story full of muscle power.
Stone colors for a legendary building site
Gray, sandy yellow, ochre, and warm brown go wonderfully together for the wall. It looks especially lively when not every stone is the same color: a light-gray stone can sit next to a brown one, with perhaps a moss-green patch peeking out in between. Your child can color the Minotaur's fur brown, black, reddish brown, or even in a fantasy color. Cream-white horns and a bright blue tunic create lovely contrasts.
Perhaps the Minotaur is building the wall around a secret garden, protecting a village, or putting up a cozy stable for his friends. While coloring, your child can decide what is hidden behind the wall. You can download this coloring page for free and print it at home on A4 paper. Then all you need are colored pencils, crayons, or felt-tip pens—and the Minotaur can finish his building project.
