A brave deer jumps over a fence
There's plenty for your kids to discover and color here. The soft fur, the strong legs caught mid-leap, and of course the fence itself with its wooden slats are just waiting to be brought to life with color. The background also leaves room for imagination, whether it's a forest, a meadow, or a strip of sky.
Coloring tip: Giving the fur some depth
For an especially lively result, try using more than one color for the fur. A warm brown as the base tone, a bit of dark brown in the shaded areas, and a touch of beige for the highlights will make the deer look almost three-dimensional. The antlers can shine in an earthy gray or soft brown, while the fence can be classic wood brown or playfully colored in any other favorite color your kids like.
Maybe you can tell a little story together while coloring: why is the deer jumping over the fence right now? Is it fleeing from a fox getting too close, or does it simply want to reach the other meadow where the grass is greener? Little storytelling moments like these make coloring even more fun. You can download this coloring page for free and print it out at home on A4 paper, and then the jump over the fence can begin.
