A Proud Deer Under Gentle Cherry Blossom Magic
Your child can really let loose here, because there's so much to discover. The deer's fur with its fine lines, the delicate petals on the tree, and maybe even a few blades of grass on the ground are all waiting to be filled with color. Some children like it calm and true to nature, while others prefer to reach for pink and purple for the blossoms, simply because it's fun.
A Little Idea for Colorful Splashes
How about letting the cherry tree shine in soft pink and white, while the deer is kept in warm shades of brown and beige? That creates a lovely contrast and looks really cozy in the end. If you like, you can be bolder and give the antlers a golden shine, or hint at a soft blue sky in the background. There's no right or wrong here, just lots of possibilities to try out.
And while the crayons or watercolors come into play, you can make up a little story together about why the deer is standing under this particular tree. Maybe he's waiting for the first warm spring rain, or simply enjoying the scent of the blossoms. You can download this coloring page for free, super easily, and print it out at home on a standard sheet of paper, then the creative afternoon can begin.
