Dog with Puppies in the Doghouse Coloring Page
So glad you stopped by. If there's one thing that's guaranteed to make kids' hearts skip a beat, it's baby animals, and here you get a whole bunch of them at once, three, four, or even five, depending on exactly how your child counts the puppies. The mother dog is lying relaxed in her doghouse, and all around her the puppies are snuggled up together, and the whole scene feels so peaceful you'll want to crawl in there yourself.

One cozy dog family: the coloring page with a dog and puppies in the doghouse
What makes this picture special is the mix of big and small shapes. The doghouse with its pointed roof, the mother dog's soft fur, and the clumsy little puppies all leave plenty of room for imagination. Some kids color every puppy a different color, while others go for one matching dog family. Either way, it looks wonderful in the end and tells its own little story.
Coloring idea: give every puppy its own personality
Here's a lovely tip for some extra fun: let your child give each puppy a name and a favorite color. The curious puppy might turn out sandy-colored, the clever one could get a black-and-white spotted pattern, and the shyest one can stay a soft, gentle beige. The doghouse itself works great in classic wood brown, but it can also turn cheerfully colorful if your child would rather conjure up a rainbow doghouse.
For the background, a lush green meadow or a warm yellow sunny afternoon both work beautifully. You can download the coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, so nothing stands in the way of a fun coloring afternoon with the dog family.
