A wild horse by the roaring waterfall
What makes this picture special is the mix of movement and calm. While the horse gallops powerfully, the water trickles gently along in the background. Your child can decide while coloring whether to highlight the wild movement of the animal or take their time with the details of the rocks and plants by the waterfall. There is so much to discover, from the stones in the water to the little blades of grass on the bank.
Color tip: from fur to rocky stone
Warm brown tones work nicely for the horse's fur, but a bold black or a dreamy gray also look great. The mane can shimmer a bit lighter, or even with a hint of blond, which creates a lovely contrast. The waterfall itself invites experimenting, try light blue and turquoise tones blending into one another, as if the water were really flowing. The rocks around it can stay in gray and brown tones, so the horse and the water really stand out.
If you like, make up a little story while coloring, maybe the horse is on its way to a secret meadow behind the waterfall. You can download this coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, and the creative afternoon can begin.
