Elephant in the Jungle with a Butterfly Net Coloring Page

Welcome to an especially cheerful jungle adventure: on this coloring page, a curious elephant trudges through a sea of green leaves with a butterfly net. Perhaps he has just spotted a colorful butterfly—or maybe he is simply holding the net ready to say hello very gently. After all, an elephant with a net may be big, but hopefully he is a true gentleman too.

The elephant hunting for butterflies in the jungle

Your child can decorate the friendly giant, his net, and the jungle plants however they like. Among the large leaves, twisting vines, and little hiding places, there is sure to be a butterfly or two waiting to be discovered. Perhaps the elephant will have gray skin, pink ears, or even a few funny spots on his trunk? After all, many things are possible in the jungle—especially on paper.

Green, colorful, and a touch of butterfly magic

Many shades of green look especially lovely together in the jungle: dark green for the shadows, light green for young leaves, and a little yellow-green for sunny spots. The elephant can be classic gray, but brown, blue, or purple will also turn him into a one-of-a-kind jungle explorer. The butterfly net looks wonderful with a brown handle and a light-colored mesh.

The butterflies can really shine: orange with red spots, blue with yellow edges, or rainbow wings—anything goes. Perhaps while coloring, you can tell the story that the elephant does not want to catch any butterflies at all. He is simply collecting especially beautiful colors of flight for a jungle party. You can download this coloring page for free and conveniently print it at home on A4 paper. Then all you need are colored pencils, crayons, or felt-tip pens and a little space for big jungle adventures.
