A Birdhouse for the Forest: The Coloring Page with the Busy Forest Ranger

There's lots for your kids to discover here: the gnarled tree trunk, the little wooden house with its pointed roof, maybe a curious squirrel at the edge of the picture, and of course the typical ranger outfit with hat and vest. A motif that shows how much care goes into the forest, without any preachy message.

Coloring Idea: Mixing Autumn Forest Colors

A strong green or a warm brown works well for the ranger's jacket, while the birdhouse can be painted in a light wood tone or even bright and cheerful, however your kids like it best. The tree trunk looks great when shaded by layering several shades of brown, and for the sky in the background, a soft blue or a gentle evening orange works nicely, depending on what time of day you imagine.

Simply download the coloring page for free and print it at home on A4 paper, then the coloring session can start in the kids' room or at the kitchen table. Maybe tell them why birdhouses are so important in winter while they color, that makes it even more exciting.
