A griffin discovers a sparkling crystal cave

Looking closely, there is so much to discover: the soft fur on the lion's body, the feathered wings, the watchful eyes, and of course the many crystals in different shapes and sizes. Some jut out sharply from the ceiling, while others lie like little treasures on the cave floor. For little artists' hands, there's a wonderful mix of fur, feathers, and rock to color in here.

Coloring tip: Conjuring up sparkling crystals

Warm colors like golden brown, rust red, or a bold beige work well for the griffin, while lighter feather tones really make the wings stand out. Things get really exciting with the crystals: here kids can be bold and experiment with purple, turquoise, pink, or ice blue. A little trick for extra sparkle is adding white highlights to the crystal tips, which instantly makes them look much more shimmery.

Maybe your child will even make up their own story while coloring. Is the griffin guarding its crystal treasure, or has it just discovered the cave? You can download the coloring page easily and for free, and print it out comfortably at home on A4 paper. That way, nothing stands in the way of a cozy afternoon with crayons and a fantastic mythical creature.
