The forest ranger plants new trees for the forest

There's plenty to discover: the forest ranger in his work clothes, the young tree sapling with its roots, the forest floor with moss, and maybe a curious squirrel watching. The tall trees in the background and the sky are also waiting to be brought to life with color.

Coloring idea: capture spring in the forest

How about making the forest shine in fresh spring green? For the forest ranger, earthy tones like brown or green work well, along with a bold red or blue for the jacket. The little sapling can glow in a soft light green, while the forest floor gets depth from different shades of brown. If you like, add a few sunbeams between the treetops.

Along the way, you can tell your child why forest rangers plant trees in the first place and all the things a forest does for animals and people – turning coloring time into a little nature adventure. You can download the picture for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper, then it's time to grab the crayons and get started.
