A brave goblin lights up the dark tunnel
What makes this picture special is the contrast between the warm glow of the torch and the dark rock all around it. Your child can have fun coloring the goblin's gnarled cap, the stones in the tunnel, and of course the flickering flame that gives everything a touch of mystery.
Tip: Play with light and shadow
For an especially exciting effect, try coloring the torch in bold yellow and orange while keeping the tunnel around it in dark shades of gray and brown. This makes it look almost as if the light is really shining out of the picture. The goblin himself can be as cheeky and colorful as you like, with green or mossy skin, a red pointed cap, or even unusual colors like purple or turquoise, whatever your child feels like.
